- My first ever paid work was crocheting dresses Mick Jagger's ex-girlfriend. She was sweet enough to let a clueless fifteen year-old design clothes for her shop. Since then I’ve been a Comp. Science research fellow, a university lecturer, a brand consultant and run my own interactive media consultancy in London. I have one son, who I had when I was still a teenager. Somehow I got into the Royal College of Art to do my MA. A life-changing experience. In 2001 I sold my neglected (by me) huge flat in Wapping - used the money to pay off my debts and moved to Prague. Unlikely events had convinced me that I was "meant" to. There I got to know a fae Hussarian fashion designer who said he wanted to introduce me to a graphic designer, Alex, who spoke good English. In fact, Alex spoke very little English and for the first six months of our relationship we communicated mostly by drawing. Which ought to have mattered, but didn’t. Years later here we are, still working, living and endlessly talking together. Magic is actually real - you just have to find out how to trust in it – then it works.
